How To Heat Cockney Rebel
How To Heat Cockney Rebel
Pour the beads into your heater and turn it to the highest temperature for about 20 mins. Give it a good poke and stir to mix the beads in with the melted wax. Put the lid on as this will speed things up.
Now, drop the temperature to 56 on a digital heater, or just under half way on an analogue/dial heater.
All heaters and room temperatures are different, so always get to know your wax before letting loose on your clients. You should be able to tell at a glance that it’s at the correct temperature to ensure safe and effective hair removal.
Tip! The trick is to melt the wax on 'high' for long enough before you turn it down, because if it’s not melted properly to start with, you’ll be chasing your tail all day and fiddling with the temperature. If it’s too cool, you’ll use twice as much wax (throwing your profits down the drain) and you’ll drag the client’s hair.
Applying Cockney Rebel
Applying Cockney Rebel
Cleanse the skin and dry it off. You don’t need to add anything to the skin before you apply the wax but if you prefer, you can apply a sprinkle of talc to keep the skin dry. Applying a tiny dab of oil to where you’ll be lifting the wax will make your job easy.
Take the required amount of wax on a wooden spatula and apply.
If your wax is taking longer than a few moments to set, then it’s too thick or too hot.
If it snaps when you remove it, then it’s too thin. The only time you might want to apply the wax a fraction thicker is on short/shaved hair or on the labia as you want your wax to be stronger than the hair.
Tip! On areas such as upper lip and basic bikini line, the quicker you remove the wax, the better result.
It’s literally, apply.....throw your spatula..... press the wax..... remove. Don’t forget the love.....so press the area immediately to sooth .
