COCKNEY REBEL hot wax has been designed with professional waxers in mind. It applies thinner, so you get more waxes out of every bag, and it sets immediately.   You have to work quickly, but don’t worry as you’ll soon get the hang of it and you’ll never want to go back to the old fashioned waxes that take ages to set.

There’s not such thing as pain free waxing, but I’m thrilled to hear clients say that Cockney Rebel hurts much less or not at all.

Clients generally neither know, nor care which brand of wax you use. They just know that you didn’t hurt them and that you gave them a fantastically smooth finish. Technique and a good product go hand in hand.

Some people say ‘wax is wax’. No it’s not! You really do get what you pay for in life and putting your client aside for a moment, working with a great wax makes your life easy and your working day stress free.

Pour the beads into heater and turn to the highest temperature for about 20mins. Give it a good poke and stir to mix the beads in with the melted wax. Put the lid on as this will speed things up.

Now, drop the temperature to 57 on a digital heater, or just under half way on an analogue/dial heater.

All heaters and room temperatures are different, so always get to know your wax before letting loose on your clients. You should be able to tell at a glance that it’s at the correct temperature to ensure safe and effective hair removal.

Tip! The trick is to melt the wax on 'high' for long enough before you turn it down, because if it’s not melted properly to start with, you’ll be chasing your tail all day and fiddling with the temperature.   If it’s too cool, you’ll use twice as much wax (throwing your profits down the drain) and you’ll drag the client’s hair (not nice).

Cleanse the skin and dry it off. You don’t need to add anything to the skin before you apply the wax, but if you prefer, you can apply a sprinkle of talc to keep the skin dry if you prefer.  Applying a tiny dab of oil to where you’ll be lifting the wax, will make your job easy.

Take the required amount of wax on a wooden spatula and apply in the direction of hair growth.

If your wax is taking longer than a few moments to set, then it’s too thick or too hot. If it snaps when you remove, then it’s too thin.  The only time you might want to apply the wax a fraction thicker is on short/shaved hair, or on the labia, as you want your wax to be stronger than the hair.

Tip! On areas such as upper lip and basic bikini line, the quicker you remove the wax, the better result. It’s literally, apply.....throw your spat..... press the wax..... remove.  Don’t forget the press the area to sooth immediately.
